Food Storage Tips

This past winter, DH and I discovered you can freeze whole lemons and limes with little deterioration in texture. Leave them frozen to grate the rind off or microwave them just a little bit so you can get the juice out. It really worked great, and you can then buy them when they are in season and cheap, and just toss them in the freezer as they are.

That's a very handy tip!

That's great!  I plan to plant some lemon and lime trees next spring, but have been wondering if I could store all the fruit or if most of it would be wasted.

Thanks for posting this!
