That sounds very tasty!  I don't make pies very often cause I'm not very good at crusts.

Zazzy, I make pretty good crust especially considering I never make pies except at Thanksgiving and sometimes at Christmas.  However, when we lived in Phoenix our church had a fund-raising dinner each year.  I was working full-time then and didn't have a lot of time for baking.  So for the apple pie they asked volunteers to provide each year I used a frozen crust and made a streussel topping.  Thought I was doing really well - until I actually tasted one of them.  The crust was totally soggy and doughy.   Shocked  I learned to prebake the crust and then add the filling and topping and bake again. Grin  It's pretty good when the crust is actually done.

I actually have a very good recipe for a french crust that worked well for me.  I'd make pie more often if I had a food processor, I think they really do an amazing job of cutting in the fat.  I'm going to make a pie crust topic so we don't clutter up Pina's delicious recipe.
