Fonzie's Brownies
« on: May 24, 2007, 09:31:19 PM »

Fonzie's Brownies
(Chocolate lovers brownies,
full of chocolate,it's almost fudge)

The secret to making these brownies lies
in not overbeating the batter !

8    oz.     semi-sweet chocolate
1/4 c        butter
2             large eggs
1/2 c        packed brown sugar
1/4 c        white sugar
2    tsp     vanilla
1/3 c        sour cream
3/4 c        flour
1    tsp     baking powder
1/2 c        semi-sweet chocolate chips

Melt together semi-sweet chocolate and butter;
set aside to cool.
In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, brown sugar,
white sugar and vanilla just until blended,
(please,don't overbeat).Add cool chocolate mixture,
blend slightly.Add sour cream,blend slightly.

In small bowl, mix flour and baking powder.Add to
chocolate batter, blend slightly.Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour into well greased 8" square baking pan.

Bake at 350 F for about 25 to 30 minutes.
Don't overbake;the center should still be just slightly
soft.It will firm up on cooling.
Cut cooled brownies into squares.
Enjoy  Wink

I handed this recipe to my DD and asked her to make it for dessert.  It was soooooooooo goooood. Perfectly balanced taste. Not too sweet nor too chocolaty. This weekend I purchased more chocolate and she is going to make it again soon.  I'll try to upload a picture of the finished product.

Forgot to add that we doubled the recipe, which is why that pan is so big!  Tongue
