Pickled Eggs

Pickled Eggs

1  -   sterilized gallon glass jar and lid

2  -   tbsp.sugar
1  -   tsp.salt
1  -   tsp.pickling spice
4  -   cups white vinegar

3  -   large onions,very thin sliced
8  -   garlic cloves
12 -  whole peppercorns
12 -  cloves
24 -  hard boiled eggs,cooled and shelled

In saucepan mix first 4 ingredients,bring to a boil
and simmer for 8 minutes.Cool.
Place garlic cloves,peppercorns and cloves into the jar.
Alternate the onions and eggs.
Pour brine over the eggs in the jar.Cover jar with saran wrap and put
on lid tightly.Let stand in the fridge 10 - 14 days.
Carefully shake the jar every 2 - 3 days.
