Title: Sloper Progress Post by: Susinok on July 22, 2006, 03:39:05 PM I have printed out and sewn together my
sloper. I tried it on without the sleeves. Pictures of it are on my
blog. http://www.susinok.com/?p=240. The biggest problem is the center front of the skirt. The darts on the pattern were quite wide and it creates a pointy area with too much fabric right at the point of the dart. I know to narrow the darts a bit but where in the PMB measurements does this adjustment take place. Hmm. I'm very happy with the fit of the bodice. It's perfect over my chest and my back. It fits TOO well, because all of my lumps and bumps are visible! Good thing we don't sew with 1/2" ease all over on a normal item (not without lining and boning, that is!) I have used PMB for over 4 years, probably close to 5. I am not good at teaching others fit though. I know that when you make a skirt or dress or sheath, there are design tabs for the darts. I am not sure where to point you on your dart issue. I suggest you go to the forum and ask for assistance. Karen Campbell, one of the WG folks, is very helpful in pointing out issues. I hope this helps. ;) Stitcher's
