I was going through some old sewing magazines and came across
Butterick 4468 Lifestyle pattern.

It is very long out of print as the magazine was April 2005.

I can't find it on ebay (or at least not in my size) I'm going to need the 16 upwards (I've seen the two smaller sizes).
I don't suppose anyone happens to have this and would be interested in selling it to me?

Thanks Ruthie

----------
Its a Petite pattern so maybe it wouldn't work for me, shame I liked the simple lines of the jacket.

I'll look thru my stash later today.  Please feel free to remind me if I don't get back to you.

It's actually misses/ misses petite, as are most of the McCall's Butterick patterns. One of the photos on that Etsy listing shows the back. It's partially cut off but you can see enough to be sure. You'd be OK.

I also checked and I don't have it either.

Thanks everyone. Did anyone come across the line drawings?
Do you think it's classic enough to be wearable now, I was thinking of work, which is slightly relaxed corporate.

you can see tiny line drawings in one of the Etsy photos. front and back of jacket, top and dress. no view of pants or skirt.

I think this is totally classic. If you want the Etsy pattern but find the shipping to be too expensive or too complicated, send me a PM. I can easily help get a US delivery sent on to UK.

mta...Ruthie, I think I just found this pattern in the size you need. I will send you the info via PM. If the PM doesn't work...post here.

Ruthie, click on the above image to see the zoomed version, and get a better look at the line drawings.

Good luck!

Thank you Lisa, Thank you BessieCrocker.
It looks like it would be over £20 to get that pattern in my size so given its only really the jacket that's different its not really worth that to me.
I still like the jacket a lot, maybe I can do something similar with a pattern I already have?

Ruthie, I'm going to my thrift shop today that sells patterns.  I'll look there.  They sell for 25 cents, so that is definitely less than £20!

bessiecrocker

for 25 cents I will take this pattern in any size you find. Just in case you find two!!  :)

I think this would be a very easy pattern to re-create with something more available. It's a simple raglan tee/dress, a no-brainer skirt, and a pant pattern you probably already have. The jacket is what is special. So you need some jacket pattern options.

I just found this , Onion 1024, which has a slightly different colllar shape, but is highly suitable for a similar fringe treatment. It's close to your pattern...and it's available. I am pretty sure you can get Onion patterns in UK...you can order, if not.

Ruthie, I scoured all the pattern drawers at the thrift shop and could not find it. Sorry!

Thank you so much for all the help.
I have two onion patterns They are not available in the UK, I bought mine online from Maria Denmark. The customer service at the time was atrocious which really put me off the patterns once they finally came. ( I gather this was a short term problem when the owner had some family problem, however it was not communicated and I only got my patterns when I threatened to get a refund through my credit card company) Hopefully that feeling has worn off now and I could use them.

I think what I like is the fringing and the fold back collar flap that doesn't go round the back.

I saw this one in a magazine and liked it too. Has the same features.

Hi Ruthie, do you consider this request closed?  Or are you still seeking the pattern.

Just let me know.  If it's closed, I'll move it, if not, I'll leave it right here!

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi Ruthie - love all the clothes you sew up - in particular the top in your photo - could you give me the name of pattern company - it looks very similar to a Silhouette pattern that I've had difficulties making up (it's actually a dress pattern) into a top.

Thank you ????.

The photos and top are from 2009, so I don't have it any longer as it long ago wore out (but I couldn't find my more recent avatar picture.)

It is Jalie 2449

bumping this back up...don't know why this occurs to me...but did you realize that the Burda pattern that was used on French Sewing Bee has this kind of collar? Darts are different, but you could do a mash up with another jacket, using collar off the Burda coat. Forewarning, coat is oversized.
