This site may be known to you all, but I just found it - I'm enjoying it.

Claire Kennedy Design ~ Debutant Wedding Formal Wear (etc.)

http://clairekennedydesign.typepad.com/the_atelier_of_claire_ken/

There are lovely gowns of hers, as well as her meanderings into various
garment patterns for herself and clients, sewing/designing tips, and the
fashions out there, etc.

Be sure to check out the Pioneer Woman blog listed in her blog roll.  It's a hoot!  Love Claire's blog.  I owe my last purchase, a used 930 Bernina, to Claire.

It's really an interesting blog ... full of a variety of different
sewing subjects, and very well written and photographed.

I'm also a HUGE 930 fan.  I used to do a lot of sewing/quilting
trade shows, and when I found out from the experts about this
'Rolls Royce' of machines and its wonderful reputation for exceptional
quality and longevity, I knew it was the machine for me.

I put my local Bernie dealer on the lookout.

It took about a year, but she found my gem .. a trade in, one
owner, well maintained machine .. which were my requirements ..
about 9-10 years ago.

Boy .. over these years, I realize what a great deal it was and
how very lucky I am ... $600.  It came with about 30 feet, more
than I'll probably ever use or learn to use the rest of my life. If I
run into any glitches, I go to the Yahoo groups for them, where
there's a couple of very kind mechanics as well as  experienced
Bernina '30' owners.  They're a godsend.

It's a forever machine .. I have no interest, never mind the
room, to store all the additional supplies it takes to get into
embroidery, so this is it, and it's AWESOME .. such solid quality
components, engineering and craftsmanship.

With that, my serger and Embellisher .. I'm a very happy camper.

These are the silk drawstring jewelry bags I made for Christmas .. I
made about 10 of them and still making them ... VERY fun to do.
I used the Embellisher to drill the two pieces of silk together at
the top and bottom and to make that puckering ruffle .. then
serged the sides, and added the casing on either side for the
silk ribbon drawstrings to which I knotted beads at the end for
a 'handle.'

I'll check out the Pioneer Woman .. thank you so much ...  Cheesy I
love the inspiration all these sites give.

Well, I found today's rainy day diversion ... The Pioneer Woman site .. I'm
loving it.  Just getting into the romance between her and her Marlboro
Man .. now I'm hooked .. LOL.

Yummy...  it's as good as any romance novel.  She's really good.

I can see this'll take another couple of cups of coffee and accidentally avoiding
the redo of a jacket into a vest I planned .. smug

I'm so glad you told me about this site .. all the different sections are
really great ... thank you !  I'll definitely be visiting often.

I was following the Pioneer Woman blog before I found Claire Kennedy's.  I also follow Smitten Kitchen.  I was so surprised to find the NYC Smitten Kitchen blogger visiting the Pioneer Woman in OK.  And then Claire Kennedy 'dropped in' as well.  Cheesy
