Gown I made for a micro-preemie -- for hospital donation to grieving parents

I've been working for quite a while at tearing apart a wedding dress to make little burial gowns out of. I finally got one done that doesn't have something really wrong with it. I know that there are others here making gowns for Newborns In Need and I was hoping you would take a peek and let me know if this looks acceptable. I fashioned the pattern after the gown that my daughter wore (she was stillborn a few years ago). I've had the need to do something ever since she was born and I'm thrilled to finally have something done.
I'd love to see what others make as well.

I think your gown is lovely.
I can't answer as one of those who make these gowns, only as one who's heart is touched by such a tragedy.

Pdisney, I'm so sorry to hear about your baby daughter. Making gowns like that is a fine tribute to her memory. I think it looks beautiful. So beautiful that it brings a tear to my eye.

That gown looks lovely. It reminds me of an angel, the way the shoulder/sleeve area goes out like angel wings. I think the parents will appreciate it very much. I'm so sorry for your own loss. You're very kind to do this for others.

It is sweet and I think also appropriate. I like that you used yellow for the decoration, and I like that the material comes from a wedding dress.

I think it's simply lovely just as it is - and yes, it did remind me of an angel too!

Dear Pam,
I have been doing the gowns and layettes and pockets for the ones too small to dress, for a quite a while, Yours is perfect, i do them for 2 local hospitals, if you want to e mail me we can talk about it,
it is a wonderful tribute to your love of your daughter to pass that love along to other parents. You will be blessed by it.
I used to sew for the organization but just do it on my own now. I have patterns here, and do several sizes, if you decide you want to keep doing it.
This will help you heal your own grief, just give yourself time. maybe chaneling your pain this way will help you feel less powerless . I hope so.
Your beautiful work will help the family so much, I have heard from a few families.I hope you continue your precious mission.

That is such a lovely little gown and how nice of you to do this. This is one of the saddest things that can happen.

Pdisney, that is lovely. I'm sorry for your loss, but happy you have found an outlet as you are helping others ease the pain, I'm sure. I have a friend who crochets booties and caps for Babies in Need; she gets such pleasure from it and they always appreicate her donations. Ladies like you are so very special!

Well, you had created the most appropriate gown for a micro-preemie for hospital donation to grieving parents. I am sure they will appreciate it very much. The gown will definitely look good for an angel.
