Acccckkkkk!  LindaC I wanted to make a guess at the title but you don't allow contact.  I guess I'll just have to be patient.  Not a thing I'm good at...(where's the icon for evil, disappoionted, bitchy person)

Do we have to wait until the book titles are revealed on February 15th or are we allowed to guess the book titles a few days before the revealing ?  Wink
Thanks

You're' funny, Bev.  I haven't been feeling well all week and this described how I felt.   Grin

anyway, I recvd LindaC's and Jane's card yesterday.  I like your hint on the back Linda.  Sounds like the kind of book I'd want to read, so I'll be interested in learning the title.  I love the celtic symbol.  Very nice card.  Jane, you're card is too cute.  When I read your clue some faint and distant lightbulb flickered for a moment....  for just a moment, tho. It will be an ah-ha moment when I hear the title.  I've got four cards at this time.  Is this about right?  No matter how I feel tonight, I'm joining to finish my cards and mail them off in the morning.  So I have a noon deadline on Saturday to be in the local PO (where they better not give me any flack on the cards).  Is anyone else as late as me in getting their cards out?

Jane, your postcard arrived yesterday and it is soooo pretty! I have a guess, but will wait until the 15th to post it. I love how you did the little bee buzzing around on the back too. So cute!

I only have 2 cards: Pina's and Janes. I hope more come today!

Laura S. I hope you are feeling better. Maybe a weekend of REST is what you need. I know you''ve had a lot going on lately. Sometimes we just need to take a break.

Wishing all of you sweet ladies a great weekend....Hugs!

These sound intriguing!  Will you post pictures for the rest of us to guess too? (when you're ready to discuss answers, of course... Wink Grin)

I got my cards into the mail this morning! Finally!  Love your card, Bev!  I have no clue, however.  Sad   I'm hoping my cards will get into Canada before the fourteenth.  Let me know when you get them.   Smiley  DH is resting.  We went out and he walked about a bit with his walker.  DD left the house as we came in.  So, with PCs done, I'm going to sew.   Smiley  Ta ta

My cards are in the mail!!! I had to finish three of my cards (had done five a few weekends back, but then wasn't near a sewing machine on the weekend of January 30-31), so with the three remaining ones done, off to the post office!! The first five headed south of the border, and the final three are the Canadian contingent! As I said earlier, I'm not sure there's going to be much guessing on my book.... pretty self-explanatory, but hope the combination of the fabric choice and design make for a smile or two!

Do I dare mention the possibility of another post card swap in the future? I know there were some ideas being tossed around earlier....

Bev, I got your card on Saturday and I've been thinking about what book it could be ever since. Intriguing! It's very pretty! Thank you! I have a guess - but I'm not sure.  Now I have Pina's, Jane's and Bev's.

Linda C., I haven't received yours. Sure hope it didn't get hung up at the border or lost. I wouldn't be worried, but I see that a couple of gals have received them already. Oh gees I hope it's not lost in the USPS somewhere...

When can we start posting our guesses here? Our 'reveal date' is coming up and I think it would be fun to see who guesses what before we reveal what book we chose.

Gail, of course!  What did you have in mind?

It might be helpful to wait a bit longer to "reveal" our guesses and what book was referred to with our postcards... especially since some of us (Yikes! Me included!) were a tad tardy with our mailing date! Do we have the patience to wait until February 22?

And Joie -- I'm open to other ideas for the next postcard swap.... anyone want to suggest something?

I'm all for pushing it back.  Life at home is about to get hectic (again). I'm going to sit out on the next round.  DD is ready to give birth (will someone please tell this baby rent is due and it's time to evacuate?!)  Smiley and with bringing a baby into the house, I'm preparing for not knowing which end is up.  (as in life will be confusing enough.)

From Georgia to South Dakota in 3 days.  Not bad for the USPS.  I mailed them Saturday morning and if Bev recvd it on Monday.......  Good guess, Bev!  I made a skirt last year out of this fabric and will post a pic of it as it goes by the same name (i.e. title) as the book.

One thing I have to say about USPS in South Dakota, once it hits the state it will be in my hands the next day.  Only extreme weather has made any difference.  Any other place I've lived in, that isn't true.

Glad it arrived, Linda... and yup, little doubt, eh?!!  Wink

So, ideas for a next swap for those who want to participate? I have to say, the smaller group made things more manageable...

What about....
1. Favourite food?
2. Hobby?
3. Where you live?
4. Childhood memory?
5. Others....?

I don't know, I thought about a food one last night.  Would make me use applique and piecing.  instead of depending upon machine embroidery.  I vote for favorite food.

Do we want to make this a guessing game too?  My local PO loved the last round.

Happy Valentine's Day ladies!  It's okay with me to push the reveal day back to the 22ND. I'm fine with just about anything. The only suggestion I have is that we might want to wait to start another round until everyone gets caught up on this one. I believe I'm still short 2 pcs on the round we did before this one, and can't even remember whose cards I didn't get. Just a thought....but like I said, I'm fine with just about anything.

I agree that having fewer cards to do makes everything easier and more manageable. We've done rounds in the past with as many as 13 (maybe 14?) and doing that many of the same thing gets boring after the first half dozen. It does for me anyway.

I like all of the suggestions that have been made, and I'm up for another guessing game.  The only idea I can come up with right now is that we could all do our cards based on where we were born (country, state, or city) and then see if we can guess what it is.

Agreed... let's wait a bit and get "caught up". Food and countries seem to be the favourites so far.

sdBev, I like the suggestion re: piecing or applique, but to be frank, I haven't the time to do 8 cards with that much intensive handwork. My other concern would be imposing any restrictions on folks re: whatever means they choose to do their cards... the variety is fun!

Pina -- Your guess was correct!  Grin Hang onto those original books!

Does someone else want to host the next round?

I have been so negligent about posting, I've really meant to.  I received two postcards, they are very pretty.  I like all the postcards I've received.  I haven't forgotten or abandoned making/sending my postcards.  I've had infection in my eyes, first one, then the other as soon as the first one heals.  the infection distorts my vision, then the drops make it worse.  I'm hoping the newest meds will help and I will be able to finish my postcards soon.  Can't sew, can't read, TV isn't clear enough to watch very long, and I'm not driving until I can see well enough.  At least I can talk (poor hubby) and soon friends will see my name on caller ID and not answer LOL.

Please don't think I 've forgotten,
