Congratulations to all the winners  applause2

Elizabeth, you did a fine job managing this contest.  I'm glad you got 100 votes from Robin--you deserve them!  Smiley  Anyone who reaches into her own pocket to supply prize money is a real winner in my book.  Your generosity and hard work on this contest is greatly appreciated.

And a special thank you to the vendors who contributed for some of the prizes.

I agree wholeheartedly with Kathryn's' comments above.

Watch out SWAP 2009, here we come  Grin.

Well done Ann! and richly deserved.

Thanks to those who voted for me, what a surprise to get second place Grin. I still want to make the co-ordinating jacket to make the pants and skirt into suits.

Congratulations to the winners and to all who participated.  I am glad that more people voted than entered;  I know some people who have been following mean to participate in the next contest, and I say the more the merrier!  It has been a great experience.  Elizabeth, you deserve 100 votes from everyone.  Thank you, thank you for so much fun.

Congratulations to all the winners! And especially to Ann---sweeping the categories.

Thanks to Elizabeth for starting, underwriting and running the contest, and to the other vendors for contributing prizes.

Onto to fall sewing----why is it so much more fun than summer sewing?

I would just like to add my congratulations to all of the winners and especially to Ann  who always shows wonderful garments that inspire and is so willing to share her knowledge.  It is indeed a privilege to hang with you girls.

Thanks Elizabeth for all of your hard work, clear instructions,  great rules and your selfless spirit in providing prizes.

To all of those who spoke kind and encouraging words - they did not fall on deaf ears - they really did encourage and motivate to do more and do better.

To those who write with humor - thanks for making my day.

Can't wait to do it again - thanks again to all. (oh, yeah, and to the administrators of this site, a huge thanks for all you do that we can not even imagine!)

This was such fun and we have lovely clothes as a resultl! Voting was so difficult because the capsules were so diverse, each wonderful in its own way. Congratulations to all and, of course, to the winners! And thanks, Elizabeth, for managing this 'herd of cats' through the process!

Thank you, thank you everyone!  And very many congratulations to the other prize winners.

Thank you Elizabeth for being such a great host and to you and all the other prize donors for your generosity.

To say that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed is putting it mildly!   I entered for fun - I've never done this sort of thing before -  and it never really occurred to me that clothes for an elderly English lady would appeal to anyone - especially those of you across the pond!

I really need to go now and gather my wits about me - but I should just say be very careful what you wish for... Grin

Congratulations to all the participants in the JCC!  You've all done such wonderful capsules, and have inspired so many of us with your hard work and interesting decisions from your storyboards and fabrics, patterns and alterations, down to the stylish details, accessories and great photography.  It's been such fun to follow along with everyone, and now that it's done, you all have new wardrobes and many more new ideas, I'm sure!  I know I do.  Wink

To all the winners, especial congratulations, and to Ann a salute for a great win overall.

And last but certainly not least, congratulations and many thanks to Elizabeth for making this competition so popular for everyone, participants and onlookers alike.  A job very well done, indeed.  Smiley

2.  "Congratulations Ann!"  "I want to be like Ann when I grow up!"

I want to join in the congratulations for all who completed their JCC capsules, and to thank Elizabeth and Ann/Gorgeous Fabrics and Susanne/Fine Fabrics for their sponsorship of prizes.

It was fun seeing all that got made, even though I ended up following along vicariously.

And kudos to those who garnered the most votes and won prizes - especially to Ann, for that clean sweep.
Ann, You're an elegant woman who's got a keen sense of what works for yourself, and your workmanship is stellar. You deserve the acknowledgement.

Congratulations to everybody !
I’m delighted that everyone got a vote.  I certainly voted for several people who aren't’t in the winners list.  It just shows what a high quality all the capsules are and how difficult it was to choose between them.

And to Elizabeth for all her amazing work and support.

Enjoy your new clothes and wear with pride !

I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at the photos but sadly have been so frantic that I didn't get time to vote!  You are all inspirational!  Wink

I'm glad I finally got a chance to see the final results!! applause2 for EVERYBODY!  I can see why there ended up being a low voter turnout - it took me 5 days to scrape up the time and courage to try and "judge" everything that went into those wonderful capsules.  I don't envy state fair judges, and they get to physically feel and turn over the pieces!  I think in the end, the only thing that got me to press "send" was how bad I'd feel asking for votes, but not actually giving them  Shocked.  It was sooooo hard!

I am glad that so many got to participate!  I think there are some very happy sewists and some tremendous wardrobes out there because of this contest!  Thank you Elizabeth!

First some stats:

I received votes from 20 people, meaning more people finished the capsule than voted (!).  I'm not really surprised because everyone said how difficult it was to choose winners, and all the capsules received at least one vote (from someone besides themselves) in one category or another.

 ufo

That is funny about the number of votes.  I think I just have a short attention span (I jump fast on to the next project!)
I just wanted to use the UFO icon.    Grin
