Okay folks, here' the place to test all the board function.

You can play tic-tac-toe:

But I warn you, it's hard on the eyes! Color makes it a little easier when you preview:

The Marquee can be fun:

So, this is the sandbox.  You can play with all the buttons and bells 'till you just can't stand it anymore.  Grin

Ooh!!!!  I want to play too!

This should be a very long sentence, so that it shows more as it goes I think.  Even longer would be better.
Can we have other shadow colors?

Maybe so.

This is kind of fun.

I'm going to try to make the print larger.

Well, I guess that worked!  Cool

Maybe not quite as large, and a different color.

Not really playing yet - just checking to see what a reply from me will look like..
It looks very nice!  Cheesy  (I've followed your work on SW's SIPP and am a real admirer, and want to ask you a question about your new Pfaff...but will put it under Sewing Machine's, in case someone else might be interested too...

Lovely to have you!

Hellenne, I forgot to tell you how adorable your "photo" is.  There's a Chinese restaurant here in Toledo called YumYum which has a really cute logo like that.  Sometimes I eat there just so I can see the logo!

Karma is kind of a popularity contest.... If someone says something you feel strongly about or gives you good advice about something, you can "applaud" or "smite" them.  The board keeps a running total for each person -1 point for each karma-point awarded.

I think after awarding a point you have to wait one hour before awarding another.

....and I can turn it off, if no one wants it.

Why can I see the photos of some and not others?   I was looking at the Sewing and Inspiration Topic where some had posted those today but they were not "viewable" to me.

Terri, are you seeing "red-x-in a box"?  Or something else?  If you're talking about pictures in posts, could you direct me to the post that you're looking at?  If it's something else, could you be a bit more specific?

Lisa - its in the Sharing, Inspiration & Photos topic.   I'm just seeing a blue box with a question mark inside - no photo in the left margin profile portion of the posts -not the body.

Terri K, There was apparently a "bug" that got introduced with a few of the avatars during the move to the new board.  DragonLady has been notified, so presumably that will get sorted out shortly.  Interestly enough, I'm seeing those w/ red-x's instead of blue question marks.  I was wondering if you use Mac, AOL or some browser other than Internet Explorer? (Just trying to expand my own knowlege here... Cheesy  Thanks!)

Liana, what is a pretty link? I clicked on all the links you provided and just get the notification for the artisan'sguild site having moved.
My picture isn't showing up either. The pic is on a bag of candy called "Milky" and her name is Peko-chan. The boy's name is Poko-chan. He has a cowboy hat on, and there is a book that uses his pic for the cover. This is a Japanese candy I grew up with. Used to be the box had Peko-chan on one side and Poko on the other and they had those plastic googly eyes, the ones with the little black disc inside that moves around.
I'm still trying to maneuver around this site whenever I have the time.

Hellenne, all of the old links go back to the old site.

I love your photo--it is coming through just fine on my computer.  Now that I know it is a candy wrapper, I like it even better  Grin !

If I get the logo from the Yum Yum Chinese Restaurant here, I'll post it for you--iit has an adorable little girl on it similar to your avatar.

Sorry Hellenne,  I'll have to change the link in that post.  It was done before we knew we were moving.

A "pretty link" is one that doesn't show the URL as the link.  It just says Neat Thing or whatever you want it to.  The directions are here.   PRETTY LINK

It was Fran's and Vicki's photos that I couldn't see. It's working now.

I had a problem with my keyboard this afternoon.  When I typed "Yy" it was "Zz" and vice versa.   Other characters were not typing correctly; very bizarre.   I tried all help processes I could on the computer - everything;  then called Apple tech support - they couldn't figure out what was going on.   They were going to send me a new keyboard.  Then the DH, wise man that he is, took a look at the characters.    I had it set to type German characters.   Don't know how that happened.  Gremlins probably.

You may notice that if you scroll down below the posting box, it shows all the previous posts on the thread, and on the right side of each post there's a button that says Insert Quote.  It will insert that post as a quote into your post at whatever point you click it.  Then you can take out whatever is not germane to your reply, or keep it all!  I thought this was so cool!  (Maybe everyone else already knew this!)
