Has anyone used the Shiva Fabric Paintsticks?

I was surprised when I saw that they were oil-based.

I'd like to use them on some wool and some silk that I have ... but was concerned when I saw they were oil-based.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I never used them myself but I saw a demonstration in a shop last year and it looked really nice. They fabric didn't feel oily at all after the heat set.  I'd love to try them if only they weren't so expensive  Sad

I've seen the shiva sticks in mini sets, 3 colors to a set.  A less expensive way to try a new product.  I am registered for Laura Murray's Shiva class at the ASG convrention in Chicago this summer-can't wait!

I bought a set at the Atlanta convention in 2007 but haven't used them yet.  This is typical of ALL my sewing.   Embarrassed  I don't know if it's laziness or fear Roll Eyes
