I just want to plug for the new season of Project Catwalk, the British version of Project Runway. I am sure that you guys will love Viv, a self thought home sewer and SAHM in her mid 40's who are knocking the socks off the younger turks with both her design and construction skills.
You'll find all the episodes here: http://www.youtube.com/user/projectfan4 (4 episodes so far)

Thanks for the link, Johanna. I tried to watch the earlier seasons last year, but couldn't find them all on youtube.

I really like Project Catwalk but found it difficult to put the episodes together in order.  Your link (or a new version of YouTube) is much easier.  Thanks!

I think the 'playlist' feature is new on YouTube, Carole, or at least new to me. It definitely makes it much easier to watch the episodes and parts in order.

Thoughts so far (done watching second ep.) - boy, the Australian gal is a bit bitchy. Not sure what's up with Keko or most of the guys. Love Viv's style so far, though.

Johanna, I had 1/2 a day at home to sew today, and have spent the whole time watching u tube. Thank you for the link. Fortunately I also nearly finished knitting my sister's birthday socks! Laura TS Please note that the bitchy girl says she is originally from Australia - she sounds to me as if she has not been here for a long while (not much strine left), and we would not let her back in whilst wearing that hat. I disown her on the behalf of all the lovely Australian sewers - or maybe that is what happens to Aussie girls when they are deprived of sun for too long. Go Viv!

Kbenco, thank you for explaining the reason behind Attitude-Angie's lack of aussie accent Grin And I think Viv will be a serious contender for the top 3 now that she has shown that she can make edgier and younger fashion too.

Watching PC is a bit of fresh air for me after following the new season of PR US. The PR-contestants are very skilled for sure, but somehow they seem to have left their personalities and sense of humor back home (with the notable exception of Chris and Christian).

In PC they are in it for some fun too. They are the sort of people who will stay up all night drinking tea and gossip or throw an impromptu party, despite the hard working day that lies ahead. I love that, it makes you root more for the participants.

I have not seen any other versions of the programme - I do not think they are on the television here, although as the main television watching in this house for the past few years has been playschool (programme for preschoolers) I could be quite wrong. I had not looked at them on u tube before. I really enjoyed it, although I would have liked more close ups of the clothes and the fabrics. I agree, it was fun to see the contestants having a gossip and a party instead of being purely competitive, I also liked the team designs, and the explanation of who did which bit. I do not understand how they made those coats in 20 hours. My jacket that I am not working on has taken me more than that, and I have a pattern and instructions and presently lots of unconnected bits of fabric! I did drink lots of cups of tea, and look at the internet a lot when I could have been sewing - perhaps that has something to do with it.

Buying 9 fabrics for 3 outfits in a half-hour is stressful?  Roll Eyes (former-Australian girl again) Obviously she's never seen me shop.  Grin
