Isn't it a great feeling to select the pattern and the fabric and know that it will be completely unique. No one else will make a garment exactly like you. There will be frustrations, but it is thrilling to sew your own clothing. I sewed a couple of blouses recently and just love wearing them even though they aren't perfect. They feel so right to me.

Enjoy! :confettitoss:

Lorrie, it sounds like it's coming together nicely. I hope you take a photo of your completed project. I'd love to see it!

Lorrie, nice work for a first project!  I'm amazed that you tackled chiffon - and you won!  I still shy away from that fabric. :)

Lorrie, you did a wonderful job on your first pattern-based project. The pattern you chose was not an easy-peasy one, and chiffon is notoriously difficult to work with, and you made both of them work for you. How great is that!

Thank you Everyone :) it said easy in the packet thats why i chose it...i have used sewing machines before for you tube tutorials and i make  beds for my gunea pigs out of fleecece and wadding so didnt have to learn everything...think i might make a shirred top for my 6 year old out of the rest of the fabric and matching hairband :))

Very nice! Matching mother-daughter tops. Love them. And maybe your daughter will also become a seamstress, having these positive memories of her mom sewing for her.
