Putting an Avatar photo into your Profile will allow that photo to appear beside each and every post that you make or have made in the past. Here’s how you do it:

1. Place your pointer over the Profile button at the top of any page.

2. In the drop-down menu that results, click Forum Profile Information. Once the Forum Profile page opens, click the Modify Profile button to make changes in your profile.

3.  Right at the top of that Modify Profile page, you will see Personalized Picture. There are four options:
•   No Avatar
•   Choose avatar from gallery
•   Specify avatar by URL
•   Upload an avatar

4. The photo for your avatar should be no more 150 pixels wide and 250 pixels high. Also the file name for it should end in .jpg

5. Upload an avatar will encourage you to browse through the photos stored on your device and select one.

6. Specify avatar by URL  means that you are going to go to a website and copy the URL information of the photo you want (not of the website itself). See the Help Topic on posting photos for information on getting that URL information.

7. Choose an avatar from gallery: when you click on this option, photos that you have loaded to the gallery will be displayed for you to choose from.

8. Once you have entered your avatar information or link, you can add a description that will appear below your avatar, if you wish. That description is limited to 50 characters, and you complete it by filling in the Personal Text section.

9.  Before leaving the Modify Profile page, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Change Profile.
