Changing Station from byAnnie
« on: October 18, 2018, 08:35:30 AM »
I have just completed my first foray into bag making - this is a clutch which includes a waterproof mat for changing a baby's nappy. The occasion - the arrival of my first grandchild.

The pattern was fantastic and I bought the exact notions as specified in the pattern. The instructions were easy to follow and the cutting and sewing had to be exact.

The colour black was my daughter-in-law's choice.

This is the clutch and mat all folded up

This is the mat with the sides folded in along the stitch lines, ready to be rolled up inside the clutch.

Just one more fold to go and shut with the strip of velcro on the tab.

NAYY but I can see more bags in my sewing future!

Annette, you have made the perfect gift for a new mother--she'll use that changing station often. Besides being very nice-looking due to your wonderful sewing expertise, it's a good functional size, yet small enough to be tucked into a diaper bag or into the pocket in the back of a car's seat, at the ready.

Something tells me your son and daughter-in-law are going to value having a talented sewist in the family. ;)
