Well done to everyone that finished - voting was tricky; they are all lovely dresses.

I haven't had any chance for sewing lately so I only got as far as ideas and buying some fabric for this challenge.  Thanks for the challenge CCL, it's been great watching from the sidelines and I have some nice teal velvet fabric for when I do get a chance to use it  ;)

Just a reminder!  Last day for voting on the Dress challenge.

Here are the links again:

Polls and thumbnails are up in our first annual Dress Challenge.   Polls are at the top of each thread.  Thumbnails are my 12-27-2018 post in the thread itself.

Beginner to Intermediate

Intermediate to Advanced

Vote for one in each challenge.

It would be interesting to learn if folks thought this was fun and if we should do it again sometime.

This was a wonderful contest, CCL. It was well designed, thanks to you, and it was fun for me as a non-participant to see how each contestant stretched her sewing skills. We all need to do that now and again.

I enjoyed following along with this contest. A huge thanks to you for organizing, directing, and donating the prizes. :heart_smilie:

One more day to wait.  :popcorn :popcorn

CCL, I thought it was great fun to follow along and the format you came up with was perfect. The different categories for skill level was brilliant and thoughtful. Well done!

And the winners are:

In The Beginner to Intermediate:  Warpjr1965 "There's enough room to Curtsy"

In the Intermediate to Advanced: IndigoTiger's Indigo Batik Stripe

Congratulations.  I will PM you later to day to see what vendors you'd like to have your gift-certificate awards set up and your relevant contact information.

Thank you to all who voted for my entry, and especially to CCL for creating and sponsoring this challenge! I found that the parameters of this challenge really pushed me to try some new techniques I had always meant to attempt, and the result has been a very wearable dress and a new TNT pattern.

Congratulations warpjr1965 and indigotiger on your wins and it is great that you have a new TNT indigotiger.

Thank you for hosting this CCL for hosting this fun challenge, it was I needed to get my dress made.

Sharonspils, I loved your dress. So fresh and floaty looking. You look marvelous in it.

One of the nice things about this challenge was seeing the different styles chosen for the projects. Each dress was as unique as the person who made it. And each dress was lovely.

yes it was most inspiring - I tend to have limited ideas about 'dresses' and this was a reminder how many possibilities there are - so thanks to all.
Does this bring you joy, calm, confidence  :D  if not, try something else.

Nice, Wendy!

I snuck a little time over the last week to trace a Lekala dress pattern I have had for a couple years. Not much news to report.
