Is there anyone who hasn't uploaded their photos?

Do we need to extend the time?  Let me know ASAP.

Aussie28 posted on 30 April that she finished and was doing photos.

I've been away since Friday until now (Monday evening in Sweden). But I managed to publish my photos yesterday at my daughter's house, but didn't have time to make any comments here. It almost takes as long time to get the pictures ready and published as it is to sew the garments.  ;D

But I'm proud of what I have sewn and I will get a lot of use of my new wardrobe.
I'm at Instagram @ medeasgarderob (Medea's Wardrobe)

I've stopped in at the Gallery to see what you all have been working on this past few months :).
I'm not sure if I missed something....but is there a description of the fabrics used, what was purchased and which were sewn, and what patterns were used?
TIA

Syndi you know, I can't remember if I did that in the descriptions or not!  It took so long to take the pics, select the 12, upload them and do the corresponding blog post, I have no idea what I wrote.  I will now duly scuttle off to check!

Such amazing eye candy... Seeing all this gorgeousness makes me wonder why everyone doesn't sew instead of buying retail.  And then I remember, duh, you guys are all an amazingly skilled and talented bunch!

That made me smile, dementedfairy!  I'm sure that all those months planning and processing and then having to take amazing pictures.....
I am in awe at what everyone was able to do in such a limited amount of time!
I see that some put a description, which was helpful.
I just wanted to be fair in judging, as some of the pieces may be RTW, but I'm not sure which.

Syndi, 6 of the 9 finishers included that info, most of those 6 gave a pretty full rundown of patterns, early sews, RTW etc. under their collection group shot. Most everyone gave a listing on their individual thread. Plus I can see RTW labels in a couple of them.  ;D

It all helps doesn't it? I like to be fair too. After I'm done voting I go to the blogs of everybody that finished, if they have one, to read all the juicy details, especially if I haven't kept up. I don't go and look now for the same reason as you, being fair. It's a SG contest so I only evaluate based on what was posted here.

I didn't stop to think about including fabric and patterns in the description.  I have edited my composite photo to include that information.  I realized that even my thread was a bit sketchy regarding the final collection.

I managed to look at all the other collections last night and was wowed.
What a great set of collections. I really enjoyed seeing all the different interpretations of the rules.

What is happening re voting? I'm going away for a bit from Sunday and will only have the tablet not the PC.

Cheers Ruthie

Hurrah, all the photos are now grouped into personal galleries, and well work looking at.
Congratulations to all who have completed a SWAP.
And Many Thanks to our Leaders for dealing with that.

Three of my images wasn't uploaded to my SWAP Gallery but I found them among my uploaded images and put them in my Gallery on my own. I think something happened when someone else uploaded their pictures at the same time as me, and my last three pictures was out of sight for the one who sorted all the pictures.
But now I'm pretty calm and waiting for the voting to start.

Ditto what Ruthie said...and Medea, so glad you were able to get those last three photos uploaded...once again, I am extremely impressed.

And in all the photos, everyone looks so happy.

Mudcat - so sorry to read that you have been ill, I hope you feel better soon! I've been looking over the SWAP entries and with nine entrants, all of whom have created strong personal and functional wardrobe collections, it is going to be really difficult to pick only three choices for "winners"... in my opinion they are all true winners.

Mudcat hope you are feeling better soon, lets hope the Voting gets lots of people looking at the SWAP collections!
http://artisanssquare.com/sg/index.php?action=gallery;cat=10

I was looking back at the rules and saw a line which said
"Your goal is to create a collection that looks like it belongs together and that you can easily add new pieces to in the future. "

I have a queue of things already planned to add more to my collection - the wool coat I never atually made (I got as far as an entire test coat), some more pieces in ivory, including a sweater knit cardigan, multiple print items and then things which work with just the teal but also include black and go off in a whole different direction.

So far this year I have done lots of sewing for me and I am REALLY enjoying it!

Lillie and I took time to look at all the SWAP collections Saturday night and were blown away by all the different interpretations of the rules.  Each SWAP is  suited to the individual and (assumption here) their needs.  I also loved the different presentations - Ruthie - loved your pics with your dress form, I think she has a name but I've forgotten - and Treefrog - your pics with the hand drawn accents fascinate me.  I need a tablet with a stylus to try that, know I don't have enough control with a mouse. All in all, a great conclusion to a fun SWAP.

Turquoise, love the skirt!  Did you use a jacket (separating zipper) on the back?

Mods - should we start a new thread for "Slow Sewing SWAP" discussions?

Hi CCL, no the zip shown on the front is a separating zipper.  The back is divided into panels with top-stitching.  I’ll take a picture of the back later.  It’s a nicely drafted pattern.

I love the Mindi- although I did find the pattern came out HUGE so I had to do a lot of re-sizing.  Did you find the same?

It is a little loose demented fairy , so for the next one I will size it down.  I cut it out when the horrible cold virus started and to be honest didn’t have my brain fully in gear so didn’t think to check any reviews and just stitched away until I got tired.  Yesterday I was just pleased to just be over the sinusitis and sewing again.

If I do need to make it smaller any time soon it’s going to be an awful job as I used the lightning stitch to do the vertical top stitching  ::). I’ve usually got the sense to try something on before top stitching but hey ho not this time  :)

It’s my first experience of making a Style Arc pattern that isn’t a top/dress - have you found other skirt/trouser patterns to come up too big or just this pattern?

Only this one- weird isn't it?  I fell into a similar trap- I did a beautiful Hong Kong finish on all inside seams...then had to do everything again when I took it in.  The fabric I used was also fairly stretchy so I went down a couple of sizes altogether!  It's a very nice pattern though, and I'm larger now so I may dig it back out...
