I've got the red silk sari-into-kimono made too, but the facing is playing up a bit, so I want to do a bit of judicious controlling hand stitching to tame it before I get pics.  It's rather swish- unlikely to be worn for work, but should sit nicely with some of the other items in the collection.
If I could just gather enough enthusiasm to fix one or both pairs of abandoned black trousers, I'd be done!

I forgot to post the link to the red trousers blog post, so here it is:  https://thedementedfairy.wordpress.com/2018/04/05/pant-ing-towards-the-finishing-line/
And the obligatory teaser pic for those that don't like blogs!

And now the silk kimono-from-a-sari

[I don't play the cello, the wife just wanted me to pose with it!]

I like this, but I'm not sure if it's fully SWAP-friendly, but I'll play some more and see what transpires.

I may be done [although I really do need those black trousers!]

Work and life have been so crappy of late that my sew-jo deserted me.  I did cut these out at the weekend though, and I'm halfway through sewing them, so hopefully will have another choice to add into the pot before midnight!

I found a nice drapey, stretchy charcoal pinstripe silky stuff which was bargainalicious when I snagged it, so I have no idea what it's made of.  Looking good so far, interesting to sew!

Very wrinkled here, but there will be better pics from the official shoot this weekend [I hope]

100 or so pics taken, 84 survived, 12 chosen for submission.  It's not easy is it?

Here's a link to the entire IMGUR album [should you be insane] which includes the items which didn't make the final cut.  https://imgur.com/a/ApC5YNi

Or blog post herehttps://thedementedfairy.wordpress.com/2018/05/06/swap-2018-the-final-selection/

When I work out what size pics are wanted, I'll upload the chosen few!

For those who don't go to the blog, here's the final list.  I've just added the deets to the photos too, thanks to Syndi for reminding me!

What made the cut :

V9114, Kathryn Brenne:  black skirt, tartan skirt, red trousers

Style Arc Lani tunic: black maths print, grey with pintucks [pre-made], grey animals

V1415, Tom & Linda Platt:  red velvet tunic

Style Arc Ebony trousers in grey pinstripe

V8793, Tilton Tshirt

B6287: red multi tunic

Grey Vera Wang RTW leggings

Just 6 patterns used, only the red trouser fabric was purchased specially, and the red tartan was from someone else’s stash clear-out.  Lots of piecing and stash diving here, so I feel quite virtuously thrifty.  The Butterick top and the black skirt were re-fashioned too.
