Just for fun, I added a 'Give-a-Way' board for listing stuff that's being given away for free. :)

Oh -I refunded your account for the .15 cents. I've added the market links on the Artisan's Square pages so everyone can find us. :)

It's okay. I've deleted both "test" *******s now. But that is what the category is for -testing. Just put a little blurb in the description that says you're testing; that should avoid any confusion. Next up... "edit" functions for everyone. Then, we need a "retract" function for bidders who make a mistake. I'll work on those this weekend, if I'm up to it. It may just have to wait a while 'till I get my bearings again. I don't want to wreck anything again. :) There are a few other small things, but I don't think they're really bothersome.

Yikes. DL. I didn't realize that we are "live" live. I thought we were still play "live". OK Delete the cat in the hat under test *******s, please! Thanks! Also, will deleting it set my account balance to zero?
Posted by Fzxdoc on 9/8/2006 at 19:13:33 CDT Auctions
Wah! I have a negative balance so I can't list any more *******s.

Right now, items can't be edited. That's what I was working on when I wrecked everything. ;) I have to completely re-write the script. If somethings needs edited, let me know the item # and I'll delete it so you can start over. And remember, we're live now, so when posting test *******s, make sure everyone's clear the item isn't real or really isn't for sale. :)

How do we edit an item that has been posted for sale?
Posted by Dragonlady on 9/8/2006 at 16:34:00 CDT Auctions
Sorry, folks. I killed the registration files when I tried to update the listings with the new form fields. Everything seems to be working again now, but everyone will have to re-register. I'm sorry. :(

Okay...I'm going to add an "item location" field. Does anyone have any requests for other information that should be on the actual listings?
Posted by Dragonlady on 9/6/2006 at 15:10:45 CDT Auctions
I'm going to add some new fields to the scripts later. When I do, all the current listings will "break". I'll attempt to edit them to make them resume working, but they may just have to be deleted.

What does everyone think of the way it looks? I was aiming for "peach pie with a friend", and wonder if I'm close?

[sigh] I forgot this board is censored. Any mention of any other site or um.. a u c t i a n will be changed to a row of dots. I'm going to leave most of it that way, though, because it keeps out the spam.

Part of the trouble is that I keep overwriting the script. Everytime I make a change, I have to upload it, test it, then save it.... Then do it again for the next change. The password will always disappear on the "post an *******" page. Otherwise, I think it will remember you to log in to your account because that's on your computer, not the site, and it will remember you for these boards. I'm not sure about bidding.

I was able to change my password, but when I went to post wanted items, I had to type in my new password. It had remembered my old password but had not changed to the new one. Advice: keep them simple.
